UNITED STATES PRIVACY NOTICE
United States Privacy Notice
This notice describes information that may be handled through AbreuAI for organizations configured for the United States. Privacy rights and requirements can depend on the state, the person and the relationship involved.
Last updatedOctober 2026 Policy versionus-2026-10-v2
1. Scope
This notice applies to recruitment activity managed with AbreuAI when the organization using the workspace is configured for the United States. It should be read with the Global Privacy Notice and information provided by the organization for a specific role or process.
2. Organizations and the platform
AbreuAI provides software and tools for recruitment workflows. The organization using a workspace—such as a recruitment agency, employer, HR or Talent Acquisition team, or independent recruiter—manages its recruitment process and determines what information it adds and how it uses it, subject to applicable requirements. The roles and responsibilities of AbreuAI and the organization depend on the service, relationship, agreements and law.
3. Categories of information
Depending on the service and recruitment process, information may include account and contact details, organization and technical information, candidate and application records, communications, job and client information, workflow activity and service usage. Candidate records may include:
- Name, telephone number and email when provided;
- CV, professional experience, education, skills and other work-related details;
- Comments, application history and information associated with a recruitment process.
4. Sources and purposes
Information may be provided by candidates, account users, organizations and recruiters, or generated through use of the service and selected integrations. It may be used to operate workspaces, manage jobs and applications, support recruitment review and communications, maintain and protect the service, and respond to requests.
5. Recruitment information
An organization may use application information to manage a specific vacancy and related recruitment steps. Where needed to evaluate job opportunities and where an appropriate authorization or other legal basis applies, it may share a candidate’s CV, professional experience, contact details and other relevant information with employers, client companies or hiring managers. This may support presenting the candidate, assessing fit for a vacancy, coordinating interviews, continuing selection, and managing offers or opportunities. The organization decides when and with whom to share information; AbreuAI provides the tools and does not decide which CV to send. Where appropriate and where the required legal basis and information duties are in place, the organization may also consider information for relevant future roles. Acknowledging this notice alone does not determine the legal basis for any future use. The organization remains responsible for its recruitment process and decisions.
6. Service providers
Some features may send the content needed for a requested task to an external AI provider, such as OpenAI or, where configured, Google services, for analysis, translation or content generation. The provider depends on the feature; not every feature uses the same provider. Content may include personal information in CVs or other recruitment records. Selected forms may use Google reCAPTCHA for bot protection; it is separate from generative AI. Other Google technology services may support specific functions when configured. WhatsApp may be used when a user requests that handoff, and connected mailboxes may support recruitment email intake.
7. AI-assisted features
Some features may use AI to assist with tasks such as CV translation, analysis, matching, review support or preparation of recruitment content. The information involved depends on the feature. AI assistance does not replace the organization’s and its people’s responsibility for recruitment decisions.
8. Retention
Information is retained as needed for the service, recruitment process, operational purposes and applicable obligations. Retention may vary by organization, record and context; this notice does not promise a fixed period.
9. Security
AbreuAI and organizations use administrative, technical and organizational measures intended to help protect information. Access and controls depend on service configuration and each organization’s responsibilities.
10. Privacy requests and state rights
Depending on the state law that applies, a person may have rights concerning certain personal information, such as access, correction or deletion, subject to exceptions and verification requirements. Rights and procedures are not the same for every state, person or organization. For candidate records related to a recruitment process, the organization managing the process is normally the first contact. It manages candidate records in its workspace and evaluates requests under applicable law. AbreuAI provides the platform and does not routinely enter a customer’s CRM to administer or directly delete candidate records. Where required by applicable legal or contractual obligations, AbreuAI may provide technical assistance. This does not exclude obligations that may apply directly to AbreuAI.
11. California
When the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended, applies to a specific relationship, additional rights may be available. These may include rights to know or access, correction, deletion subject to exceptions, certain rights concerning sale or sharing where applicable, and protection from discrimination for exercising applicable rights. This notice does not state that the CCPA applies to every person or organization.
12. International services
Some technology providers or infrastructure may operate in other countries. Where information is handled across borders, the organization and service arrangements must be considered under applicable requirements.
13. Changes to this notice
This notice may be updated when the service, its practices or applicable requirements change. The published version and update date identify the notice currently available.
